Reasonable prices, great location, breakfast nice, large plates. Very quiet when we stayed on a Sunday. Plenty of space to park.
Comfortable if basic room with excellent comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Good selection of beers, gin etc. Really enjoyed home made steak, ale and suet pastry pies, veg well cooked too. Talented chef! Great location for foody shops and market.
Had a really nice family meal in the Willis bar and we all loved it. I rarely order Sunday roast dinners when eating out because I'm always disappointed but the Sunday dinner was superb here. Beautiful starter, main and pudding. The service and interior of the restaurant was perfect too. A true gem. Thank you, we hope to return.
Last minute stop over for 1 night. Decent size, clean room with comfy bed. Lovely sunset view from our window. Nice bar and dining area. Food good. Free, easy parking and short stroll to town center. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Pet friendly also. Would stay again.
Just come back from a two night break with group of six using the hotel as a base for playing golf at the nearby Malton and Kirby Moorside courses. Hotel is very well maintained with very nice rooms, lovely food and great selection of beers. Staff an absolute credit with very pleasant owners. Second time we have been as a group and we will look to visit again. Ideal location within Malton, decent parking.
Great! The staff are fab, the ‘superior’ room we had as a family of four had loads of room, tv, good beds, great shower. Food and drinks were ace. I’d stay again if going that way. Parking can be a bit tricky later on, as it gets busy, despite being a decent size.
Great fish and chips and a gorgeous pie satisfied our hunger. The bar has a nice atmosphere and has Theakstons Best Bitter on tap. Highly recommend. Plenty of free parking on site
We didn't stay at the hotel but were in the area so we ate here twice. Have to say the service and food was excellent. Will was the bartender on the first night and Lewis the second. Both were very professional and polite. All round nice guys and a credit to the hotel. We had steak and ale pie which was amazing and veggie lasagne the first night and scampi the next. All cooked fresh and really tasty. This place is a must if you are in the area. Don't have to stay at the hotel to eat.
